Water blisters
Definition
Medium-sized blisters in the middle coat which have popped.
 
Cause
Sanding water which has collected in corners, edges and recessed areas. Contaminated air supply.
 
Prevention
Blow clean air into recessed areas after sanding to ensure that they are dry. Always remove attachments, if possible.
Regularly check that oil and water separator on compressed air line is in good working order.
 
Remedy
If there are only a few blisters, lightly sand the affected area and then polish.
If there are lots of blisters, lightly sand and then respray.
